Artwork Formats
The Blockfoil Studio can accept artwork in a wide range of formats, all of which are detailed below.
QuarkXPress 6, Freehand 10, Adobe Illustrator, Indesign & Photoshop CS 2
- Please include all pictures and fonts used & state which Blockfoil Branch the job is for.
- Foil blocking or embossing areas should be clearly marked in seperations.
PDF Files
Ideally just the foil blocking or embossing areas in black or with 100% seperation.
eps, tiff, pict or jpeg Files
Indicate if any scaling is required, otherwise it will assumed to be 100%.
Positive Film
Film should be supplied as positive film, right reading, emulsion down.
Bromide or Laser Copy
Bromides or laser copies can be supplied to us for block making - please ensure the quality of the image is good.
Floppy Disk
Artwork supplied on floppy disk should be in mac format.
CD Rom
As with floppy disks it should be in mac format.
Photocopies
Photocopies are definitely not recommended as copiers will distort the image producing poor definition and wrong sizing.
