Our foil promise

Our foil promise

Everything  in this image is recycled after use. The foil wastage is packed into tight ‘brick like’ blocks and taken away, the empty cardboard foil reel is recycled, as is the box the foil arrives at Blockfoil in.

Absolutely no waste

These empty foil rolls are all sent away for recycling.

ISO 14001 certification

ISO 14001 certification

All 3 Blockfoil sites also hold ISO 14001 accreditation. ISO 14001 is an internationally recognised standard setting out requirements for an environmental management system.

Foil compaction and recycling

Foil compaction and recycling

Our foil compactors crush the wastage foil into ‘brick-like’ blocks that are then sent away for recycling. No waste foil goes to landfill.

Zero 2 Landfill certification

Zero 2 Landfill certification

All 3 Blockfoil sites hold Zero Foil 2 Landfill certificates. This is exactly as it sounds – no foil from our sites end up in landfill.

CNC machined dies

A CNC machined die uses no chemicals during production. CNC is the environmentally way to produce magnesium and brass foiling dies.

Hot foil vs cold foil

Hot foil vs cold foil

Hot Foil Blocking has always had a great advantage over Cold Foiling and Foil-lined Board when it comes to recycling.
